What is the Yelp Autoresponder

September 20, 2024

Welcome to the next big thing (in digital marketing). iCatch’s autoresponder, made in collaboration with Yelp, is a revolutionary tool developed to help businesses lock down every lead that comes in.

The Issue

So you’re getting messages on Yelp, but you can never seem to get any customers to book a service. There could be a few reasons why this is happening.

1. You’re not responding quickly enough.

Yelp has a high-intent customer base, which means anyone who gets on the site is basically begging for a business to take their money. If they choose you out of all of the others, it should be an almost guaranteed lead. If a customer messages you on Yelp and they don’t get a quick response, they will move on to someone who will answer them.

2. You aren’t saying the right thing.

If you are responding to a customer, imagine yourself on the other end. There is a reason they messaged you rather than calling. If you ask for their phone number to call right off the bat, you’re not any better than a dude on a dating app. Ask them questions regarding the project they are requesting and respond to their questions. For a whole home remodel, they may want to know a bit more about your services before you destroy their entire home.

3. You aren’t following up.

So you got ghosted. It’s okay! Your lead probably just had to put their phone away, maybe it died, or maybe they’re taking a shower. Oh, who are we kidding, they forgot about you! But it’s okay, in this business, it’s okay to double, triple, even quadruple text. In fact, those who do actually have more success. We have found that the minimum improvement for four follow-up texts when compared to one single text is a 100% increased response rate. On average, a business’s success rate will go up by 300%.

The Solution: iCatch’s Yelp Autoresponder

Meet your new wingman – iCatch’s Smart Autoresponder. It’s intelligent, adaptable and versatile, and a whole lot better at getting you dates than your old college roommate. iCatch developed this tool in collaboration with Yelp to serve busy business owners who may not have the time to respond to every message quickly and efficiently.

How Does it Work

A lead will message you on Yelp, usually asking for some service, let’s say they need their roof replaced after a big storm. So you, as a roofing contractor, will get a message with all the necessary information about the project. Autoresponder will respond accordingly, offering to give the customer a quote or to schedule a consultation. If the customer asks questions in the chat the autoresponder will alert the business owner to answer the questions. If the customer doesn’t respond after the initial message the business sends, it will send another message, reminding the customer that your business is still available for the service. If the customer doesn’t answer, the Autoresponder will continue to do this until they do answer for up to four messages. These follow-ups, as mentioned before, are crucial in completing the booking and locking in the lead.
